ADE Next: all the young dudes
2 August 2010Amsterdam Dance Event isn’t only about and for the dinosaurs of the dance scene. Sure, you can find people who are in the business for about a century, but it’s also a place where newcomers, young artists and professionals can meet each other and some of the dinosaurs. And off course find a way in and into the scene.
That the music scene, and even the dance scene, isn’t all about the music and the fun itself might not be a surprise. There is a whole range of other activities behind the music, a – most of the time – slow working machine, that needs to be treated with much care and respect. And the thing is: there is no manual. There are only a few people who can tell you some tips and trics. There is another option though: trial and error. We have an idea about which one is the easiest. Or maybe least diffucult is a better way to say it.
The first option, off course, is the best. And here is where ADE Next steps into the picture. One complete day is programmed for the needs of those in need of a jumpstart. Dj’s and producers who could use a little helping hand to get around in the scene. There are workshops, there’s a demopitch, there are interviews and lectures about rights. There is little left to know after a day at ADE next. And the good thing is: you’re amongst pro’s the whole day, so you can clear up that little thing that might be left unknown on the spot. Just ask around, nobody will ignore you! The complete programme will be announced on the ADE frontpage.
