International Golden Gnomes are coming: Nomination Round
15 July 2010What once started as a joke has grown into a full-size award show: the International Golden Gnome awards. Let’s say it’s the Oscars of the dance scene. The nomination round is close to finalization end here’s a final notice to dance professionals.
The idea is that you, as experts in one field or another of nightlife, send us suggestions for people who or organizations that should – in your opinion - be nominated for a prestigious Golden Gnome during the Amsterdam Dance Event in October. Early August we’ll announce the candidates, those who were suggested most often. These will enter phase two, the Voting Round, open to experts and the public alike.
GOLDEN GNOME CATEGORIES
1. NOISY GNOME – Club with the best soundsystem
2. MASKED GNOME – Favourite masked DJ/live act
3. TWITTER DJ – DJ with the most Twitter followers
4. FUTURE GNOME – most promising new Dutch talent
5. MEDIA GNOME – for best magazine, website or campaign
6. FAVOURITE INTERNATIONAL DJ
7. BEST INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
8. MOST LOVEABLE AGENT
9. WORST PLACE YOU’VE PLAYED in 2010 so far
10. UNDERGROUND GNOME – city with the most influential & creative underground scene
11. BEST DRESSED DJ
12. DJ with the WORST HAIRCUT
13. SEXY GNOME – the most sexy DJ (m/f)
14. BEST LIVE ACT
15. FAVOURITE LABEL
16. LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
